The Imaging Systems Group Inc. Announces New V12 RGS Incorporating Grayscale Continuous Tone Imaging

Calgary, Alberta, Canada (May 28, 2003) - iSys - The Imaging Systems Group Inc., leading provider of direct thermal imaging technology, has announced the new V12 RGS, which combines the best features of the two most popular mobile direct thermal product lines into one. Incorporating the technology of the V8.5e and V12 into a powerful, imaging device that is targeted to be a market leader in all aspects of performance. "This is the first of many iSys products that will demonstrate to the ocean business community the value of the iSys brand."

The V12 RGS is a state-of-the-art direct thermal printer, combining high speed, continuous feed printing. Grayscale, continuous tone produces clear crisp, photo-realistic images, providing unmatched benefits in print production. Print troubles caused by the variable dot gain of different halftone rulings and dot shapes can be eliminated because the V12 RGS images precisely, consistently and predictably. The new model images at continuously variable resolution up to 203 dpi, allowing user selection for optimal resolution for each job. The V12 RGS delivers multi-speed throughput, up to 4" per second making it ideal for maximum control. Direct thermal imaging shows superior results on print media compared to conventional inkjet and LED printers and enables longer run lengths. This new product will be available for delivery in September 2003.

The V12 RGS will be on display at Oceanology International Americas in Knudsen Engineering booth 341.
